Lick's was pleased to receive the following email on May 21, 2004. Although Lick's does not know how the balloon arrived in Maine they are pleased to share a little happy excitment in the state!

Hello from Hope, Maine!

As you can see from the attached images, two of your balloons arrived in our field here on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean on Wednesday. We Googled your “Nutritious and Delicious” statement and the name “Lick’s” and found your site.

Despite a majority of vegetarians in the household, as the carnivorous representative in the family I was intrigued.

I suspect you are planning an Eastward Migration, and are getting us all ready for your arrival. Or you’re hoping we’ll drive the 700+ miles for one of those good-looking burgers? I just might!
